Crocheted mint hat

Ravelryssa multa kyseltiin onko Minttu-myssyn ohjetta englanniksi jossain ja lupasin kääntää ohjeen tänne jos saan ohjeen kirjoittajalta luvan. Lupa heltyi eli meikä käy nyt vähän käännöspuuhiin :)

-----

I was asked in Ravelry that is this pattern written in English somewhere. It's not so I decided to ask the original writer of the pattern if I could translate it and share it here in my blog. I got the permission so here goes.

In the original pattern the used yarn is Novita Bambu, it is a Sport weight yarn (5 ply/12 wpi) and the hook was size 2½ mm - 1½ US.

The hat is made from the top to the bottom.

I'm using the American terms of crocheting.

Row 1: Ch 6 and slip st to the first ch.
Continue to work in rounds.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc 11 to the loop you made from the 6 ch, slip st to top of beginning ch - 12 dc
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in same st, *2 dc to the next dc*, repeat *-* to end of row, slip st to top of beginning ch - 24 dc
Row 4: Ch 3, 2 dc to the next dc, *dc to the next dc, 2 dc to the next dc* repeat *-* to end of row, slip st to top of beginning ch - 36 dc
Row 5: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 ch, 2 dc still to the first dc, skip next dc, *2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc to the next dc, skip next dc* repeat *-* to end of row and slip st to top of beginning chain.
Row 6: Slip st to the next 2 dc, ch 3, dc, 2 ch, 2 dc to the 2 ch loop of the previous round, skip 4 dc, *2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc to the 2 ch loop of the previous round, skip 4 dc*, repeat *-* to end of row and slip st to top of beginning chain.
Row 7: Repeat row 6.
Row 8: Slip st to the next 2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc to the 2 ch loop of the previous round, dc between the shell stitches of the previous round, *3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc to the 2 ch loop of the previous round, dc between the shell stitches of the previous round*, repeat *-* to end of row and slip st to top of beginning chain.
Row 9: Repeat row 8 so many times that the hat is the size you want it to be.

Please tell me if you find a flaw in the pattern. And I'm happy to help if you want to ask something.
